Introduction
Prior to implementing the Valhalla Platform, the clinic in Greater Houston utilized a hybrid system of privately branded EHR forms and traditional paper charts for both administrative and clinical intake processes. Front desk staff and medical assistants played a crucial role in managing patient intake by distributing forms upon patient arrival and ensuring that any missing clinical data was collected during patient triage.
Methodology
Patients were sent Valhalla digital intake forms three days prior to their scheduled appointments.
Patients who had not completed their forms before arrival were provided with a clinic-owned tablet to complete their intake process.
Upon form completion, the Valhalla Platform automatically generated documentation and Evaluation & Management (E&M) CPT codes.
Clinical observers tracked and measured the time physicians spent on documentation both before and after Valhalla's implementation.
Results
720 minutes saved per MD/month
30% less time spent on the EHR
63% reduction in clicks
>90% of patients were satisfied with their intake experience
Conclusion
The implementation of the Valhalla Platform resulted in significant time savings and improved efficiency for the clinic's multi-specialty providers. Physicians experienced reduced administrative burden, allowing them to focus more on patient care. Additionally, the streamlined intake process enhanced patient satisfaction, highlighting the platform’s positive impact on both clinical operations and patient experience.
